Hi Dusty,
Thanks for the info someone else showed me about this too.
I think it'll be a solution in some way I'm just not sure where I'd put it in my bike without making it look bad.
Does anyone know if there is a way to have the rims be retro reflective?

Where did you get the red SOLAS stickers? All I can find are the white ones and the regular automotive red reflective stickers aren't all that bright.DustyJacket wrote:Instead of lights, I use highly reflective SOLAS striping, and reflective pinstriping. I make other vehicles' lights work for me.
The yellow-looking stuff below is actually red.

You can put the SOLAS stickers under the tail light like right above the license plate. I had a lot of empty spots in that area as well as a license plate cover from those motorcycle shops. You can also put those on the front fender and maybe on the fork ends by the front wheel.Brackstone wrote:Hi Dusty,

Ooo I like the license plate idea.JC Viper wrote: You can put the SOLAS stickers under the tail light like right above the license plate. Front forks? Wouldn't the tape interfere with the movement?

Actually, only the white is SOLAS.JC Viper wrote: Where did you get the red SOLAS stickers? All I can find are the white ones and the regular automotive red reflective stickers aren't all that bright.
The blue is simple reflective pinstriping ftom Streetglo.net (as are the large blue stripes on my helmet.)
The red is prismatic reflective tape, which you can set from many refplective tape vendors.

I placed my tape near where the fork bolts to the wheel and also on the little metal bar beneath the headlamp. The tip of the front fender works just as nicely. Another nice idea is to put it on a helmet or get one of those Halo thingies.Brackstone wrote:Ooo I like the license plate idea.JC Viper wrote: You can put the SOLAS stickers under the tail light like right above the license plate. Nuts... I saw the 3M site and the SOLAS and scotchlite come in many different colors but I can't seem to find them.DustyJacket wrote:Actually, only the white is SOLAS.JC Viper wrote: Where did you get the red SOLAS stickers? Counties will differ, here, I could not give a monkey's about the law as they do not give a monkey's about me. We have bigger problems. So it is up to me to look after myself. I make myself as visible as possible, modulators, BRIGHT BIB, reflective tape. If a cager say's "Look at that arsehole" It's the LOOK AT bit that interests me.
