Big Savings

The really big savings would come from not needing a car at all... For me, though this is fairly unrealistic.

At best, I think I could manage a bike/can-am spyder combo. Need something for bad weather as long as I feel I can weather the elements.

I have had a Suzuki GZ 250 for awhile now and it is a great bike especially for beginners. It has a big front fender so it gives the appearance of a bigger bike than it actually is.

It will get you close to 60-70 MPG, and cruise nicely at 55 MPH. Once you get above 55 MPH it will sound like the engine is really racing though. So not really a bike for the interstate, but perfect for city driving.
