I asked a friend of mine who is a FHP officer and he said that's not accurate. Like everywhere else, when you sign the citation in FL, you are only promising to appear in court, where you can plead "not guilty" if you choose. If you refuse to sign, he assures me that he would put you in the back of his car and take you to holding to await a court appearance.02custominfl wrote:Down here in FL, when you sign the ticket, you're admitting guilt. So right there, you'd be fighting an uphill battle in court. You never think about it when it happens, but you can refuse to sign.
A state approved way to beat a ticket. Sounds like Jersey.Dragon on Wheels wrote:I think in NJ, there's a system where you can pay more money and then you don't get the points. I think each person can only do that 3 times though.
