Aaahh, I see. That makes more sense.

They do not want the local Southern Cruisers chapter (just using their name as an example) to be mistaken for outlaws. Territory is a big issue with these boys and they normally do not want to see any other patch but their own in their area.
Interesting. I can see how they want to identify themselves and thier rivals, but still find somewhat irksome that they would enforce 'Only we can wear back patches' rules on the public. I mean if I had a big pink rabbit sniffing a tulip on my backpatch, that should pretty much rule me out as an outlaw, right? Not that it matters much to me, I wouldn't be wearing one with anything on it, but if a bunch of Accountants wanted to form a bike club and ride together, and wore a patch with a ledger book or calculator on it, I don't see why the HA should care. But then again, the HA is not known for having great ideas or being very public minded.

Yves Lavigne (a Canadian authour) has written a couple; "Hell's Angels - Taking Care Of Business" and "Hell's Angels - Three Can Keep A Secret If Two Are Dead". Brutal stuff.
I had as much to do with them as I wanted in the 80's, when I bought my bulk shipments from them. It was interesting, and I had some fun times with them, but it's not a club I would want to be indebted to, or a part of when they figured they had been wronged. There seemed to be more than a few loose screws floating around the clubhouses I was in.......

aint it wonderful that our countries have laws protecting such trash as these gangs where decent people have to ask their permission to form a club or face reprisals.the inmates are truly running the asylum.luckily we only have 650 street gangs here.

Hi Guys and Girls

If you want to start a club, do so. You do not have to ask the 1%'ers for permission.

I am a menber of Ulysses motorcycle Club. It is a Australia wide club wih junior members being 40 years of age. full menbership is for over 50's.
Motto of the club: Grow Old Disgracefully.

Most members wear patches (some even have rockers, not advised by national committee).

At the AGM in Canberra this year, the Rebels Motorcyle club took offence that Ulyssesians where wearing rockers. Apprentaly there was some trouble about that.

Form your club/group. have a great time riding

From all the posts on this subject I think a small patch on the front of the vest may be the best way to go for now.
The one thing the HA's aren't going to like is that I'm taking there customer away from them. :D
Last night a bunch of us were out riding and ended up at Starbucks for coffee. It's nice for those of us in recovery to be together, it helps. I have been clean for 2 years as of June 11th, and it was a hard road to travel. But with a support group it was a lot easer to do. So the way I look at it is that if you love to ride and are in recovery then join us and lets have some fun together.

My aunt and uncle ride with the retreads and are members of the GWRRA. Maybe you could do what they do and get the goofy looking biker vests and put your patches on that. Then you just throw your biker jacket on top, and everythings taken care of. You can identify yourselves when you're walking around with each other (not wearing your jackets) and not worry about getting run off the road by the Hells Angels.

And we all know that BuzZz is going to get a fluffy pink bunny on his jacket soon as he saves up for that cruiser he's been eyeing.
