with a new rider who pulled up on a Harley Sportster. It was the blacked out model with the "sand cast" lookin' cases (a nice lookin' ride). I could tell she was new to the ride and after she pulled in, made it a point to tell her how I liked her bike... First words outta' her mouth were "Well, I wanted a 1200, but I had to settle for the 883". I just smiled and told her, "Honey, don't you know that it ain't the size that matters, but what you can do with it?". 8)

Everybody thinks ya' gotta' have 1800 cc's of engine at yer crotch to be "cool"... Too bad they miss tha' point about tha' ride. Squids 'n wannabees will take care of themselves through natural selection.

Very nice!!
People use to make fun of my little sporty 883 Hugger....
Did my first Iron Butt on it...
Took it to rallys and blew them away and walked away with trophies...
BMW 10,000...came in 2 hours early and in top 1/3 not too shabby for a baby bike as they would say.
Now she didn't have the immppff to climb at a speed of 90 but she held the speed limit just fine.
I follow a new highway I haven't traveled before.

An Iron Butt on a Hugger..... Makes my back and knees HURT jus' thinkin' about it.... Use to have great fun leavin' my "big bike" in the shed and ridin' my wife's Honda Shadow.... Like the Hugger, it didn't have much "oomph" on the top end, but it sure was a fun bike to ride....

Showin' my age now, but I can remember back when a 350 cc motorcycle was considered a "big" bike. ... NEVER forget when the 750 Honda rolled out..... That was THE talk of the motorcycling world back then.... Funny how time changes perspective....
