Well I'll bump this thread up a bit. I haven't done anything today, but tomorrow I'm making the trek to Bakersfield to see family. Then tomorrow afternoon I'm picking up an 82 Honda 450. I don't know if it's the CB or the CM. We'll find out tomorrow. I'm getting it for a huge bargain, (that is if everything goes right. You never know with internet deals.) Wish me luck!

Wow, cool! You'll have to tell us how it goes (in a new thread)... those bikes are classic and I sure do miss mine. Good luck!

A battery charge (loading?) as a precaution. Too much snow since two weeks for riding..

Didn't end up getting the bike. It was a really shady deal upon further inspection. Probably a stolen bike. Better safe than sorry. Oh well, back on the hunt for a good bike.

Well, it's better safe than sorry, besides the owner might have neglected the bike to the point where it'll cost more to fix. No need to rush into these things.
I'm planning on TRONing out my GPz by getting either red-orange or sky blue rim tape and placing it along the edges of my flat black bike.
Yes, after watching TRON Legacy I cannot ride my motorcycle like a normal person...

Put a Puig double bubble on the 600 RR. The Goose reports that it has now solved the problem of the head buffeting when she gets a bit of speed up. Looks good too

I got it started (after hubby re-charged the battery the other day). It's been so cold and snowy around London that I didn't know if I'd be able to run her until spring time, but thankfully a warm front moved in so there is a small window of opportunity.
Now if it stops raining I will go for a quick "New Years Day" jaunt...

For my bike, I tried to charge up a dead battery (which I just bought 8 months ago) in the bike but it kept registering as 6V rather than 12V so I pulled the battery out* (PITA) and put it in the house. I am hoping it's just "cold" and it will register 12V tomorrow when it's warm, but I fear it's DOA and I'll have to buy another one...argh.
But I did get Andrea's bike going.
*Remove side covers, remove tank bolts, remove tank support, remove air box, then you can get at the battery below.

No hope to see this thick cold fog vanish for the first ride of the year... Just cleaned the bike and started it for some go-and-back in my garden...
