AMF was quite a powerhouse in its heyday; they were involved in NASA space projects, made bombs and other munitions for the US military, large scale food processing eqiupment and systems, etc, etc. But when they purchased Harley, it became the one product line they were most recognised by (with the bowling alley equipment a close second).totalmotorcycle wrote:LOL.. is that true? AMF that used to own Harley-Davidson is the same AMF that owns Bowling Alleys?
They are listed as still being in various industries but I always associate AMF with bowling equipment first...Gummiente wrote:AMF was quite a powerhouse in its heyday; they were involved in NASA space projects, made bombs and other munitions for the US military, large scale food processing eqiupment and systems, etc, etc. But when they purchased Harley, it became the one product line they were most recognised by (with the bowling alley equipment a close second).totalmotorcycle wrote:LOL.. is that true? Does this bar somehow say it is specifically for Harley riders only or is it just frequented by Harley riders in general? By “Biker Bar” do you mean it is somehow gang affiliated in some way? If not park where you like and make some new friends. If it is, go elsewhere for your food and drinks.Marvin wrote:When I pull into the parking lot riding my Japanese Scooter of the local HD Biker Bar should I park next to the full custom HD, or should I park next to the std. 883 HD Sportster?
I don't know of anyone that insecure.Marvin wrote:I have learned from past experiences that many HD Owners take offence of a "rice burner" parked next to their HD
Funny thing, the first time I saw AMF and Harley together, the first thing that came to my mind was bicycles and basketballs... Voit was a big part of AMF for a long time as well...Gummiente wrote:AMF was quite a powerhouse in its heyday; they were involved in NASA space projects, made bombs and other munitions for the US military, large scale food processing eqiupment and systems, etc, etc. But when they purchased Harley, it became the one product line they were most recognised by (with the bowling alley equipment a close second).totalmotorcycle wrote:LOL.. is that true?
