A gazzillion songs for "blue":

Subterranean Homesick Blues -- Bob Dylan
Famous Blue Raincoat -- Leonard Cohen
Jugband Blues -- Pink Floyd / Syd Barrett
Bottle of Blues -- Beck
Goodbye Blue Sky -- Pink Floyd
Silvertown Blues -- Mark Knopfler / Dire Straits
Bullet The Blue Sky -- U2
Give Me My Blues -- Albert Collins
Blade Runner Blues -- Vangelis
.
.
.
and on and on
.
.
.
but I'll choose this since it was first to come to mind:

Even When I'm Blue -- Steve Earle

Must be a "COMMUNICATION BREAK-DOWN" -- Led Zeppelin

"Only put one"? -- hmmm... you mean like one sock at a time? or one Christmas song? or one gigabyte... or was that one word songs, like Blue - Joni Mitchell :-)

but moggy says music is more fun by the pound. I dont make the rules, just um, break the rules, right auntie moggy?

Soooo MANY rules this "one" thing seems to have -- how does *one* fit into that mould without a little customization.... like first relocating the mirrors to the trash bin, and adding bar-end bicycle mirrors. Might as well toss the speedo as it's basically redundant unless you are a police officer... Then we setup the ergos by adjusting the bars and control levers, revalving the fork and shock so it handles better and go looking for a little shaaaaawinggg by installing a forged high-compression piston, porting the cylinder head, adding a flat-slide carb, new 2-1-2 pipe and mufflers.

With a little dyno and track time... voila, ONE sweet ride.

We might just toss those passenger footpegs too, since she can get her own bike or borrow mine when she likes. Alls fair in love & Nortons.

Next year we'll rework or repaint the bodywork or go carbon-fibre... 961C or 961 JPS :-)

Let's see now -- where were we?

After one comes two, then three, then multiply by 4, add an "a", have an Apple, then a Banana, and a Case of pancake mix, whole milk, a touch of butter, vanilla, and some fresh organic blueberry's. OK, get the raspberry syrup warmed up... a cup of tea, grapefruit juice.... and finally we have breakfast. ahh yes....mmmmmmmmm... thanks for the reminder... now i see your point: PUT ONE Big Breakfast in my tummy! Yummy!... I wonder if I have room for a scoop of ice cream?

So Monkeyboy likes challenging authority by the sound of it! X :clapping:

I've got no problem with that but unfortunately by posting numerous songs together you end up with the outrage of Dylan/Cohen/Pink Floyd being associated with Dire Straits!! Don't even get me started on that patronising pretentious prat Bono!!!

One more thing it's MOG pls. 8)

Back to the game then............

BREAK EVERY RULE ~ Tina Turner

Obvious choice really! :lol

One more other thing...Norton/Led Zep in same post IS allowed. :uk:

Much of the use of human authority has little to do with a natural order and more to do with our unwillingness to accept our human frailties. I don't challenge natural authority, I seek it and openly respect it, thus am conditioned to learn from true authorities.

Perhaps you can ask Bono to Bullet a Brown Sky and Knopfler can sing Silvertown Boos until the next clash of song titles between Madonna and Bing Crosby bring rants from the misguided Song Title Union.

Any one-named pop-star such as Bono, has a clear target on his back, and he too learns at his own human pace, and to me he seems pretty open about who he really is. Knopfler is a more elusive writer but his ego out there. I'll take some good with the bad, as with say Sting, less so. Part of this ego quality is certainly also common to Dylan even though other values and goals may differ.

My post has all smiley's like  --that's the humour which keeps it all in play all day-- something I usually find in the British dictionary, and let's see your post has hmmmmm a hurricane of rantys and !!!!.... (giggle) (shrug) In response to your MOG-ocious squiggles I threw in 2-pence of my take on authority, as history shows it... something many musicians reflect upon whether singing about art school, motorcycles, or real life events... and OOOPS! you fell out of form in the game... so let's see... (I dont think Dylan and Sting are lecturing us necessarily all that often, it's more to do with people listening to them as celebs rather than thinking for themselves and also about those celebs themselves personally) but too inefficient to write about in a forum note.

Considering Dylan and my mentioning of real life events I present a song in keeping with the text and the theme:

Hurricane -- Bob Dylan, about Ruben "Hurricane" Carter

but since one word titles make the game more difficult, for another real life story expressed upon by a crooner, we will go to that "pretentious" (giggle) Bono character singing about Martin Luther King and I'll even use the long title:

Pride (In The Name of Love) -- U2
