Noooooo...While I understand the appeal, I have a terrific fear of heights...and I'm not the greatest flyer. I would probably have to be on some serious valium before even considering it.

loved watching the video with my son, until the f-bomb! LOL geez. and you went the whole time without posting a single formula or mathematical expression :) =now i have to take this part back. you posted statistics! lol

for some reason, those can-am's are looking hotter every day... but looks like my additional ankle surgery (next week) is gonna postpone any fun for another year.
still recovering - back to crutches, then walking with a stick, then running - then hopefully riding again!

Z! Good to hear from you. Yeah, f-bombs happen when skydiving; although, I suspect not exactly the way I ended up saying them. My kids hear f-bombs all the time - we just have a rule that no-one says it outside the confines of a song or a movie. Sorry about that anyway.

I research and analyze everything to death - even though sometimes the decision I'll make is counter to the statistics - at least I'm informed.

The Can-Am would be great fun, I think. I'm looking forward to riding one - one day. I've been looking at cars - and I'm going to rent some of them in my decision process to buy a replacement for my aging Honda. Fiat 500 can be rented soon in my area - as well as a Camaro. The 6-cyl Camaro gets better mpg than a 6-cyl Honda Accord Coupe, looks much hotter and has a crapload more horsepower... Even though I'm bored of Honda these 19 years or so... I still have concerns about reliability. Maybe there is a place out there to rent the Can-Am.

Good luck with your surgery. There are modifications to motorcycles that make them ride-able down a limb - although a trike might be more suited in your case. We had that video circulating a while back - the racer - racing - minus 1 arm. It all depends on how much you want it to happen and how much resistance happens around you.

Rumors have it BRP is planning to have a leaning can-am roadster (kinda like the piaggio mp3). Who knows, by the time you're ready to get back in the saddle, it might be in production. At least it would be nice to be able to lean it like a bike, but not need to shift or hold the thing up at stoplights.

I read a small article on this - it had a drawing for the patent included. Very cool - at least we know they are thinking about it.

I don't know. I've been doing reading on hang gliding and the secure feeling they talk about in hang gliding is exactly what I felt once the parachute was open. Even in freefall you can feel the air supporting you and pushing back.

Of course, there aren't any real baby steps to skydiving...
