Suggest a bike for me. Lightweight, cruiser

My 1996 Vulcan 800 Classic is a great bike. Very reliable and very comfortable. I use it as my primary mode of transportation unless I have my kids and/or wife with me so it goes on plenty of longer highway rides and performs great.

I bought my first bike a little over a month ago.... it's a 2003 shadow 600. I got it for $3,900 w/3800 miles on it. -- I am very comfortable on it and it's been fun learning on.. it goes on the highway no problem... it isn't the fastest 600 out there but it gets the job done, plus I like it's looks, and for me at 5'9" 170, it's plenty comfortable. -- The fact that it's only 4-speed kinda sucks, but it's made learning downshifting easier...

I've got a 1987 Honda Rebel 450 that I'm selling. A little bigger in every way than the 250 (the current 250 Rebel ha been the same bike since about 1984). It's in northern Virginia, USA. I'll try to post pictures if you'd be interested in seeing it.

I've set my mind on a new bike.

I went looking around this weekend and got to sit on a few bikes. I also did a lot of searching on the internet as well.

My choice is different from what I started out looking for.

Upright riding position, fast, nimble, very little wind (ie parachutte effect), no vibration to the handle bars, light weight, good reviews.

I think I was trying to fit a square peg in a round hole with the cruiser idea. Most of what I wanted came in another form of bike.

Thanks to all who replied and who tried to help me out.

The price tag is high IMHO which means I have to save up some $$$. If I keep the bike for a long time though, the cost isn't that much. I think this is a bike that I can be really happy with and grow with for some time to come.
