I get slurpees every once in a while at 7-11. They have nice high quality plastic cups that can be gripped between the tank and a leg if you need both hands. Fast food places though give you those crappy flimsy cardboard cups that crush under the slightest ounce of pressure. With saddlebags you could probably build a nice duct-tape cup holder in one of the corners. :D

I grab fast food all the time. I skip the drink and throw everything into my tank bag. If I know I'm getting food before I go I put my wallet in the bag before I leave since getting to my wallet is a pain with gloves on and taking them off slows things up. Getting a bottled drink is a good idea. I forgot most FF places have at least water in a bottle these days.

I would think that a bike at the drive thru would be nicer to people. Around here we have those stations where the allow to cars in the same lane. If you finish what you want in back before the guy in front of you, you have to wait. If the guy in front is a motorcycle, there is enough room to pass him. If you're the motorcycle in back, you can fit by the car. It seems win win anyway you look at it... unless your the teller used to having breaks between cars.

I'm a teller and worked in the "window" for a while. We have no problems with motorcycles. In fact they were usually the nicest guys. Two regualrs (almost everyday) one Yamaha and one Harley (nice bike, Dyna Glide, Low Rider). We get a handful of scooters as well. One of our customers owns a motorcycle that sells Triumphs. He's been really helpful.

I drink soda habitually (damn those headaches if I don't get my soda :frusty: ) I plan on fashioning a cup holder for 44oz sodas. Haven't put a lot of thought into it yet, but I see it as a must.

Throw on the tank bag, throw a $10 bill in there, and don't order a drink. Yell past the fullface, don't get a drink. When you get to the window open the bag, hand over the 10spot get your food in a paper bag which is followed by your change straight into the tank bag. Don't even need to take off your gloves. It's usually a good idea to put the kickstand down while you're getting your food and paying though :P

Although I haven't actually seen anyone else do it, I use the bank drive thru quite a bit. The tellers seem to enjoy it when I show up. Haven't tried to get food anywhere yet but I'm sure that day will come eventually.

didnt read more than the first 4 topics so sorry but just wanted to comment. Ive gone to a drive thru a few times. I useally just put it all in a back pack and then take it to a park or something. Only had a mishap once, i had the bike in gear went to grab my drink but grabed with my left hand, stalling the bike and spilling the drink felt pretty freakin stupid.

I go through the drive-thru at my local bank with no problem. I do get stares from all the lemming soccer moms in their SUVs who go and draw out their hubby's money while not watching the View or Desperate Housewives...
