Quit right rbickers. You should only be on the throttle whilst in the turn, you should have braked, changed gear and have your entry speed right before you enter the corner. Choice of gears is dependant on what the corner is like.

It depends on the bike. If your bike feels twitchy in 1st, use 2nd. If it gives no power in 2nd, use 1st.
