And my excuse is that I'm English???

Yes, as a matter of fact! Being English is a good excuse for a lot of your issues!

Gah I almost bit on the whole shopping in the grown up section thing... And then I had a realisation. My friends and me all rag each other about our rides, yes that does mean I rag Keyoke about the big XJ especially after he got a speeding ticket on a CB250 while the XJ was in the shop in turn I get comments like how often I have to change the rubber bands powering my bike, anyway I was saying that we rag eachother more or less like that all the time...
You're just assuming everyone is your friend and can take a joke about what they throw their leg over arent you?

Yeah, I would hope that by now the TMW regulars would know not to take me too seriously. I rag on my friends and coworkers constantly, and my best friend takes the brunt of my "girl car" and "chick bike" wise cracks! However, being labeled a jerk is something I've grown used to.

Awww, c'mon Man...I had no idea about your stature until your recent post. No wonder you feel the way you do about big bikes. I mean, you're 5'8" and only weigh 120lbs??? Maybe you meant kilos or something because my ex-wife is 5'4" tall and SHE weighs 120lbs, and she's just a dainty little thing. You're four inches taller and weigh the same as her???

The problem with the internet is the utter lack of consequences for any action taken. When you remove the repercusions of any given statement from the equation people begin to think they can say anything. I have a hard time believing you would act in real life, like you do on these forums.

Well I can see why Sev likes the 599. Odd for some reason I thought you were taller Sev? I am about zoos size and felt really cramped on a 599, but a bandit 600 fits like a glove.

In life, we have facial expressions to clue peole in to sarcasm...it's a little harder to read into in a forum. I have found myself apologizing to people for accidentally offending them with a wise-crack they took seriously. Just the nature of the place, I guess.

At a towering 5'10" that is a pretty bold statement.

What "consequences" do you propose, Sev? A slap on the wrist? Sent to my room with no dinner? I am offended just about every time I come here, but you have to learn to roll with the punches. So sometimes what you say in your head and type with your fingers gets read differently by someone else and is interpreted incorrectly. That's the world we live in. That's why I had to take countless ethics courses and communication classes to obtain my BS in Technical Management,
because we now live in a world of emotionless emails and text messages.
And you can speculate all you want, Sev, but I act just like this in real life. If I didn't crack wise and laugh through life, considering what's been thrown at me, I would have had a mental breakdown years ago. Unfortunately I occasionally cross paths with folks like you who take a sarcastic comment about a stupid survey way out of context which leads to a life-long rivalry, and I'm the only one who enjoys it.

When did I ever claim to be tall? 5'10" is average height, and every day I go to work I am surrounded by 6'+ coworkers who make me feel like I'm still in grade school. What surprised me the most about Sev was his height-to-weight ratio. Again, 120lbs is not much on a 5'8" frame. My sister is 5'8", is rather slender, and she doesn't weigh anywhere near 120lbs. Probably more like 140lbs. In other words, I think we need to make Sev a sandwich! Maybe you could hook him up with one of your mint sandwiches.
Oh but, thanks for misinterpreting yet another of my posts. I weigh 90lbs more than Sev, and my bike's seat height is probably close to 4" lower than his...so clearly I was taking a stab at his height.
