Newbie - Gear Combo Opinion

VermilionX, it concerns me that you thought it was boring, but at least you read it. Hopefully you'll put it to use, boring or not.

oh yeah, i definitely learned a lot from it. i still think it was boring though.

i dunno if i'll be carrying passengers, touring, or riding in deer country, etc. but i still read those sections anyway.

i'll probably try to ride dirt bikes since i learned that it's the best way to learn to slide your bike from keith code's DVD.

Have you been able to get a lot of riding in on your road star? Not sure how bad NC winters are.

my only complaint about "Proficient Motorcycling" was the poor quality of the binding, fell apart almost immediately.

I have not gotten as much riding in as I have wanted to due to my schedule but I have had a blast with the time I have been out.

As Ron mentioned, NC Winters are hit or miss. This one has been very mild even with quite a few days over 60 degrees recently.

I plan to make up for lost time soon.
