Where I live now is South Western Germany.
Bad things:
Costs roughly $2,000 to ship your bike from the states, but then again that is a good reason to get another here
. Riding season is from April to roughly October. AVOID THE AUTOBAHN UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE!
Good things:
This area of Germany has lots of pretty backroads to explore. The speed limit on the backroads is "whatever you feel is safe" with an occasional backroads quaint German town thrown in every few miles or so. Lots of twists and turns at whatever speed you feel comfortable with.

I live in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and I like it because it's super cheap to live, it only takes 8 minutes to drive to work (and I travel about 2/5's the width of the city).
The size is perfect...190,000 people...not too small, but big enough to have all the resources and entertainment one needs...
One thing I don't like is the lack of twisties around here but there are a few decent ridin' roads around...

Dallas area.
not bad, good urban scenery, and smooth open roads with mixes of ragged turns and grueling straights, take your pick.
My personal favorite is puttin the TollTag on my gas tank and blazing the tollways in my area. Especially at night. You can cruise the vista.

I got stuck in Albuquerque once while driving truck because of a pretty nasty snowstorm. Are you sure about that year-round riding?

I live in Hitchin, a small market town in the North of Hertfordshire, 30 miles north of London. There are some great biking roads around here and if you go East there is some great countryside.

Hehe, I have only seen snow stay on the ground for a day. But then again, maybe you just brought the crappy weather with you.
