most people at least try to defend their actions... this guy admits it wasnt safe and that he is hot headed, and leaves it at that. trippy! :?

Your video is awesome. Until those lane splits after 1:50. Understand, it's not you I worry about, it's the family in the cage that have to deal with being a part of your demise at your hand. Your actions endanger them; not just yourself. And yes, I've gone fast, but have never done those kind of lane splits simply becuase they put others at risk.

I have to agree that is does look like fun on a bike and maybe they should make a video game like that I'm sure it would sell well. :D

The high speed lane splitting at the end in traffic got my heart going just watching it. Whew! That's crazy stuff.

I do agree 125mph on a cruiser is very FAST. Its like 160+km/h on a 1980's 650cc bike its scary fast as different bikes feel different at high speed.

Too risky for me as that's real life and when you only have 1 man and there are no free men to win or continue button if you die...

Definately don't recommend this stunt to any rider as I can see too many cons to pros. Riding is a great amount of fun at legal speeds and riding on the wild side can give the rest of us a bad rap.

Mike.

vector18 wrote:I agree with mintbread. Is this site full of 60 year old men that stay at 55mph and never go more? Have none of you ever just went alittle crazy for the fun of it? I guess I should go out and take a video of me riding in the street stopping for stop signs and red lights. Maybe you will enjoy that video more that the one I posted?
No vector18, this site is not full of 60 year old men. As a matter of fact the majority that responded to a couple of polls taken on this forum this year were almost all young men. Seems there are only a few here over 60:

Generally, how old are you?
under 13 0% [ 0 ]
14 - 20 13% [ 15 ]
21 - 25 15% [ 17 ]
26 - 30 16% [ 18 ]
31 - 35 16% [ 18 ]
36 - 40 12% [ 14 ]
41 - 45 5% [ 6 ]
46 - 50 7% [ 8 ]
50 - 55 6% [ 7 ]
55 - 60 2% [ 3 ]
61 - 65 0% [ 0 ]
66 - 70 0% [ 1 ]
70 + 0% [ 1 ]

What is your current age
16-20 7% [ 9 ]
21-30 35% [ 44 ]
31-40 33% [ 42 ]
41-50 12% [ 16 ]

In glancing thru the posts in the poll threads I noted the ages of persons who replied above and they were 40, 59, 39, 31, 19, 17, 22, 17, and 34. So there just isn't any blaming their honest opinions of your irresponsible riding thru traffic on a bunch of old men. You were lucky nobody closed the door on you on a couple of those splitting passes. I concur with opinions expressed that you are giving all of us a bad name with such riding in traffic.

We go out in the country, travel to the mountain twisties when possible to let loose like that. Little or no traffic around. We just don't have a right to endanger others like that. Yes, we have gone just a little crazy for the fun of it, but only on a lonely road out in the boondocks.

I gotta be honest here, everytime I come up behind slow moving cruisers just poking along at the speed limit on a nice twisty country road; I see they are ridden mostly by young men in their 40s and 50s.

OK, so the majority of you are under 60 years old. What does that prove? That your smarter than me cause you searched for a poll and found out I was wrong? As I said previously, I am not stating how myself and my fellow riders are 100% safe and/or correct, but I am simply posting a video for the enjoyment of viewing. You guys can preach all you want on how unsafe it is and how reckless I am by endangering not only myself but the cagers also, but that is not going to stop how we ride. I'm not saying we do this all the time we go out, but we do it once in awhile. If it makes you feel important by preaching and posting your comments, go right ahead, knock yourselves out. Just do me a favor, the next post you see of a video I made, please do not even bother clicking on it and watching it so you don't waste your typing energy. Leave the clicks for someone who enjoys watching such behavior. Thanks.

Wow, that was crazy!
I wasnt sure if I was going to be the only one who thought that end part with the lane splitting was a bit hairy, but I guess not.

I'm sure you had fun. Also, cameras in that position make it look a bit more unsafe then what it actually is. I have video taken from the front of my bike while going 45mph on a back road, and because of all the shakes a rattles, it looks like i'm going to wipe out at every turn!

The lane splitting thing gets me though. To be completely honest, if I were in one of the cars you cut off to pass, I'd of been pissed. I might even have sped up a bit when I saw you coming to make you stop. Yea, I'm an "O Ring". If you're not going to play fair neither am I.

Thats exactly why I dont do that crap on my bike. I know that if someone doesnt like what I'm doing and they try to stop me by not moving, or speeding up, then im always going to loose in that crash.

Hey, as you know its your choice to do what you want. But dont be surprised when people are against you posting videos like this. its really the equivalent of you juggling babies over and open fire. You're basically endangering multiple peoples lives for your own enjoyment, and you've noted that you dont really even care.

Thats one thing, but you cant post this and expect people not to preach to you about your actions. It's kind of ashame that you dont even realize or care about the name you give to other bikers. Ah well, there will always be guys like you. Hopefully you're just never on the road at the same time as my family.

I don't think we were preaching, let me see if I can see what we are doing.

Oh yeah, we were responding to your request.
