I guess the real question would be...if they repealed the helmet law nationwide, who would still wear a helmet?

In answering Wizzards amended question.....yes I still would....DOT approved Half-helmet, but a helmet none the less.

ZooTech wrote:A half-helmet or Skid-Lid is a must if your neck of the woods gets hot at all in the summer and/or if, like me, you get hot easily. I didn't wear my full-face at all until the temperature got down to the 40's in the morning, then I just wore it for the warmth. I got a half-helmet with a face shield for my trip to The Dragon (states outside of Ohio have helmet laws) and I just picked-up a Skid-Lid a couple weeks ago and will see how that works out this summer. If it feels all right and isn't subject to air turbulance I'll probably start wearing it full-time, but if it sucks I'll go helmetless for yet another summer.
It gets pretty hot here in Florida in the summer. I still wear full face and a jacket.

No helmet law here, I still wear it. I've been hit in the helmet by a lot of debris while riding, I wouldn't want that stuff hitting me in the face.

I'd VOTE for no helmets and I'd VOTE for no seat belts but I buckle up and wear a full-face every time. I took a rock to the jaw on the interstate the other day that still gives me the chills.... COVER YOUR LOAD dumptruck drivers!

Been hit in the arms and legs by debris...take a rock to the shin at 65 mph...made me want to go out and buy shin guards! Can't imagine taking it to the face, that might knock me out

Maybe so - I do kind of enjoy voting come to think of it. It seems like I come out on the losing side more often than not, but I guess it's better than not voting at all.
