There really is no hard and fast answer, I personally wear a combination pants, kevlar and leather with padding in all the right spots, but sometimes when it is really hot I will wear draggin jeans and mx pads underneath. My Goose has a one piece custom leather suit and she wears strap on armour underneath. It's just a case of comfort and affordability. Being serious you need to look at where you need to protect and do that as best you can within your budget.

I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R

Good Stuff
I would advise to get the best protection you can afford. Do this even before you buy that bike. If you get a full syth. jacket with amour already in please get the back protector if it doesn't come with one. And wear it all the time when you're riding. I've mixed and matched for years now. Just ride protected!
The steel toes I think would be fine. As someone else pointed out tho please adjust your shift lever if you have to "up toe" to shift. I'm sure you've noticed that the toe is fatter. I ride with a full synth (Joe Rocket) for all my riding and a full face helmet too. The body will adopt to the new requirements. Tho you'll probably drink alot more water for a while! HEH HEH! I do.

Apart from my wrists I bounce really well.BuzZz wrote:Kal, you hit the ground again? And broke/messed up your wrist again? That sucks, Dude. Stop doing that. Your gonna get hurt.
I know you British have a bit of a blind spot about this, but there's a reason you don't ride in winter......![]()
Hope you recover quickly this time.

Had the bike back on the road yesturday, even strapped up and on painkillers I dont think I could pull the Cltuch if I had broken the scaffoid. So we think its just sprained. CeeGee is back together and running (had al the needed parts in the utility room) so it's all good riding experience!
