I too am dreaming of a Shadow. A Vincent Black Shadow. Numbers matching of course. And if I get one and don't get my wife one there will be mucho unrest in the household. She has one as her wallpaper on her computer. All donations gladly accepted and will get the donors a thank you e-mail.

Can you folks get around to this soon? I am waiting.

Aren't we all hoping to get our "Dream Bike"?

Don't all we wish someone else would fund it? :)

Seriously we are all saving for that dream bike. Your story is great, but what about those of us that are shelling out our life savings/potential life earnings for our college educations. I wanted my bike so bad that i worked 18 hours a day for about 95% of the summer. No joke i would drag my "O Ring" home at 12 and get up to leave at 5. now im a fulltime college student working 30-40 hours a week plus schoolwork did a mention i do volunteer work about 15 hours a week? im 18 too by the way. So moral of the story....go work your a$$ off if you want your bike. Did i mention im totally on my own...no parental help at all, they hold my mail for me till i get time to go home, thats it.

I don't have a dream bike. I have dream of owning a half-dozen bikes. I want a touring bike, but only for touring. I'd like dual-sport. A sportsbike. Maybe a bike cruiser.

So -

1. Goldwing - fully stocked.
2. BMW 1200GS - also with with all the toys attached, you know, including those big metal boxes.
3. KTM 950 Adventurer
4. My bike - the ZRX1200R Green
5. Hayabusa
6. Star blacked out Roadliner

But none of those by themselves are my dream bike.

We think along the same lines in this respect. Already have a
Honda 90
Honda CL350
Yamaha 650 V-Star (wife's but I can ride most anytime I desire)
Honda Valkyrie

to which I would like to add;

Suzuki 1000 V-Strom
Suzuki Bandit 1200
Yamaha FJR1300
Kawasaki 250 Ninja
Honda 919
and I still want a V-Max!

I would love a V-Max. As of right now, that is my next planned purchase... I keep seeing used ones for around $5-7k!! mmm...
I dont know why people dont like the styling! I think it is gorgeous.... beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. I would also love to try out a Valkyrie, they look like "my style". But the V-Max is really my style... I think it would look real nice next to my black KZ650....

Unfortunately, house comes first :( Priorities, eh?

Strap a tent and sleeping bag to the back and "F" the house!

On the road again... I just can't wait to get back on the road again!

No offense... but why don't you do it the old fashioned way and get a job and buy the bike yourself. It's bad enough that I have to see nitwits begging at every freeway on and off ramp on my way to and from work without having to come on to a message board and see you unwilling to do what the rest of us do... work for what we want.

Good luck.

Because if he posts a sob story on 1000 message boards that have lets say 1000 people each visit it, and only 1% of the total send him 1 dollar, that's $10000 for sitting in front of his computer and copy/pasting.

Why the hell do I spend so much time on this forum? I should be out there doing that.
