There really are. Even just cruising around town. Natchez Trace Parkway is gorgeous, especially in the fall and I'm doing "Deal's Gap" (318 turns in *11* miles!) in May.

The great thing about living down here is all the great places I can get to in a day - East to Washington, DC, West to Dallas, North to Chicago, South to New Orleans and everywhere in between!
A friend of mine and his wife are driving down to the blue ridge mountains (I think that is what he said?) this summer.
Yup - that's suppose to be another gorgeous trip.
Congrats on the marriage and happy touring, there's alot of time to show your new bride how beautiful Canada's Ocean Playground is.
Thanks! I'll get up there to show her how gorgeous it is soon enough!

Not quite. Newfoundland is really nowhere near Nova Scotia. It's another whole trip altogether. For example, Newfoundland is a day's ferry ride away from the northern tip of Nova Scotia. But, if you get a chance to get there, Newfoundlanders are the 2nd nicest people in Canada - behind Nova Scotianers. :)
When I'll be traveling 5000+ km just to get to the general area, they really are pretty near each other.

When I do get out that way, I'm making sure I have enough time to tour a good chunk of everything east of Manitoba. A good month at least.

I know how friendly Newfoundlanders are, there's more of them here in Alberta than back in Newfoundland, or so they say. 'They' being themselves, I'll just have to take their word for it until I can get out thee and see for myself.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

LOL Good point - except for the water between NFLD and NS. :)

Plan on a day getting from NS to NFLD, if you go. It's a *long* ferry ride.

Well, you'll find most folks in the Atlantic Provinces are very friendly!
