Now get out there and practise (carefully) and prove me wrong.

i will but i have to go back to the stealership in a few minutes since i need to exchange my owner's manual for the '06 model. they made a mistake and gave me an '03 model manual.

can't take my bike since it's very far and the way to get there w/o using freeways is ridiculous.

hopefully, the sun will still be up after i return so i can get some more practice.

thanks again.

I have a sharp right turn I have to go through every day. Today I just so happened to be paying extra attention to my steering, and I noticed that I wasn't countersteering, and I caught myself looking just ahead of the bike:evil: . That would probably explain why I couldn't take the turn very sharply.

Oh well....just one more thing to practice :D

oh yeah, before i get more aggressive... i'll buy some knee sliders 1st. just in case.

i saw some knee sliders but they are all attached by velcro for pants that have velcro... is there one that can be wrapped around your knee for pants that doesn't originally have knee sliders?

You could probably somehow sew some velcro on your pants...Don't know how strong it would be, but it would work a little :righton:

That's it, how ya gonna know where your limit is if you don't exceed it now and then.

I wouldn't worry about dragging your knee for awhile. your bike is probably rated at nearly 60* of lean angle. Tires may be good for 45*, but you probably wont be seeing 45* lean angles for awhile.

well yeah but it's gonna suck if i do end up dragging unexpectedly w/o the sliders.

:?

tailor huh? ok i'll probably kill 2 birds in 1 stone... go to the tailor to attach some velcro and custom make my scarf

EDIT: no wait i saw the velcro ovals, they look bad... i don't want to attach that. i wish there's a wrap around knee slider. :(

LMAO, you need to intentionally set yourself up to get a knee down. I know people in Europe who spend hours at a time shooting around empty traffic circles trying to get a knee down. In roder to do it, you need to shift your "O Ring" over so that you have only one "O Ring" cheeck on it, then look around the corner, countersteer HARD, and stick your knee out. I can't imagine you needing to do that for any reason.

Even doing that getting you knee down is going to bloody tough. You're more likely to just tip the bike.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
