You have to realize that cops deal with the worlds scum on a daily basis. I can't stand when people get pissed at Police for enforcing laws they didn't write. If you want to get pissed get pissed at politicians. Being a cop is a thankless job, except for after 9-11 then Americans were all about it for about 6 months or until they were caught speeding and got a ticket. Here's an idea, don't break the rules and you won't get pulled over. If you do something stupid (and everybody does) face the consequences. Police Officers put their lives on the line everyday in an attempt to keep America a safe place to live, much like the military. The only difference is I get thanked all the time for serving in the military. When was the last time somebody thanked a cop for doing what they do? Like I said earlier I'm not a cop, but it really gets me when people assume all cops are worthless because at some point some officer decided to give them a ticket they probably deserved.
ahhhhh... a voice of reason. Thank you for making my point for me.

Its too bad that when people have a complaint about cops, then they are branded as "cop haters". I am not a cop hater, I respect law enforcement and no one even has to pull out their 9/11 heroism and whack me over the head with it. Calling someone a "cop hater" is labelling someone with the purpose of ending debate. That's fine, we don't have to have a knock-down drag out here on Motorcycle Journal forums, but there are people, like me, who have legitimate concerns, and we are not cop haters.

I was in the Video store the other day, and this young girl said to me, hey is your bike a Chopper or a Crotch rocket, I said neither and she looked confused and then she said is it a harley... I said nope, I gave up and walked away, Im sure she was just trying to be nice but it seems weird to me why she wanted to know , its not like she knew a thing about bikes, and I guess I could of said some nice things to her, as she obviously thought I was HOT!!...

Let me get this straight..... a hot young lady strikes up a conversation with you about your bike, but because she did'nt know anything about bikes you just walked away. Can I ask, Are you a married man? because if you're not, then why o why did you not engage this fine young lady in a little conversation. You could have
taught her about bikes, and then steered conversation around to more personal things. (See my previous thread on "Do You Get Hit On?") sigh...

I don't get it either. If someone started a conversation with me, I would atleast talk to them. If a girl was nice looking and was interested, I'd think that would be pretty cool, but I wouldn't go chick hunting either.

Just a suggestion.

Hmmm, stereotypes that I really hate...
Well, I am an introvert. I don't talk a lot and I usually keep to myself. Most people think i'm sad because of this. I'm not sad. I am perfectly content.
Another one is that all bikes are either Harleys or Crotch Rockets. I don't have a bike yet, but I see this being a problem in the future as I am not interested in either type.
The last, and likely the greatest. Gender stereotypes. All of them. I am a male and most people would consider me a feminist. I used to have long hair. It would annoy me when girls who had hair as long or longer than mine would tell me that I need to cut my hair. I would always get into arguments about gender stereotypes with people, most often women... Try and figure that one out...

Sounds like your an equalist not a feminist, theres a difference
You might notice people love stereotypes when it puts them on the high ground. The ladies will flip if you assume they cook meals, but will gladly poke fun at you if you attempt to, say, care for an infant as you are unable to do so properly as a man.
All in good fun I say...
PS This should probably be in soap box.
