during the holidays, those stop motion chrismas specials (remember the misfit toys? and the elf that wants to be a dentist?)

...and the movie with the kid that wants the BB gun..
most of the 'older' Disney stuff...herbie, shaggy dog, flubber, chitty chitty bang bang, etc... (basically the stuff I grew up with)
oh, and cheap scifi cheese...like chopper chicks in zombietown or toxic avenger and those equally cheesey sword and sandles movies like the barbarian brothers...
...and monty python...
...and Dr Who, Blake's Seven and The Prisoner

Now Brokeback is a great film. Go see it and walk tall. Just don't go on your own on your bike and in your leathers.

Got you all beat. My wife and I both enjoy Steel Magnolias. Total chick flick but I enjoy it.

Weeeee....lll if we are getting competitive about this. I go for a lot of kids films specially some of the Japanese ones. 'Akira' was great. 'Spirited away' was stunning. Can't wait to see 'Howls moving castle.'

All kid movies rule, but I'm not shy to say Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle, AND My Neighbor Totoro - PLUS Kiki's Delivery Service are fantastic. All by that same guy - Hayao Miyazaki. Great stories, all with girl heroes, so I love it for my kids.
While I'm bragging about loving kids movies - Pixar is the bomb. Not one lousy movie in the bunch. And if you talk Dreamworks, Shrek and Shrek2 were very good.
But again the topic was embarrassed. I suppose I should be embarrassed, but I'm not.

I loved Shrek 1, but was did not enjoy Shrek 2 at all. Anyone else feel the same way? Castle in the Sky is great too, speaking of animated kid's movies.
