it's not that fast... traffic wasn't light so can't speed up much plus im scared of cops since i can't see the cop car lights at night unless they're already in pull over mode.

also, im training to feel speed instead of see it on my speedo... i covered my speedo and gear indicator for quite some time now and so far, it's working great for me.

For what purpose?

couple of things.

one is so that i don't get distracted looking too much on how fast or how slow im going and pay more attention to the road.

two is to get rid of the bad habit i got from driving which is i look too much on my gauges and i was doing it too while riding. but now, ever since i covered them, i don't find myself looking down.

three is to get rid of being dependent on the gear indicator.

gear indicator

:O you have a gear indicator?? like it tells you what gear you're in (not just the rpm?) .. fancy  When I first started riding I couldn't figure out why my bike (or any bike) wouldn't have something to say what gear you're in  LoL...

Very cool suit man. What does it feel like to have knee pucks now, do you feel them there at all?? I was looking into those Auto Darkening shields and found some info. I'm going to test one, it's cheep so I will check one out. I do not want to get caught out at night with a dark shield on but I would like one at day time. I bet I just get a clear one and use good shades. I need to find good shades for rideing next. The cops do not seem to pay much attention to sport bikes when they go through town, the bikes and the riders all look like they are racing being so into all the gear. I think the heat just wants them to keep going and leave there towns, that's better then giving chase for a lousy ticket and worse an impound. Yuk, that's a bad word, impound. I tell my buds all the time, Do Not Run. You will loose everything. Be a man, take the ticket with style, keep you bike to get another real soon.

it's weird since im used to wearing my draggin jeans so the knees really felt weird. the other parts of the suit feels natural.

im getting used to it now but when i 1st tried it on that pic. i was very uncomfortable since my knees suddenly got very bulky.

I guess after a wile it will all feel natural. Do ya lean down low yet? I wont be for a wile I know but am going for the full gear from the start. I been hanging on the California Superbike School web site and reading all that stuff on there forum about rideing and cornoring training and stuff. Very good reading there. They mention 'A Twist of The Wrist " lots. I'm going to get the DVD and the book. Maybe the book will fit under my seat cowl. LOL. Ride, stop and read, ride more , stop and read more. Ride more. LOL

nope, haven't gotten a knee down yet. it's very scary to practice it on my own. i wanna do it w/ supervision, i think i already know a parking big enough for practicing it. now, i just need a coach.

I hear ya, that is the way to do it. It's a good idea to be with someone wile praticing that. I read lots and get a lot out of it. On that Super bike school site there was some great stuff there about it. I'm going to print it all out to keep looking at it. I read something on how the weight of the bikes downforce increases with lean angle and speed. I only found that a little wile ago so I need to check that out more to understand it all better. But that is very incouraging, it make me less scared to get into it. It's very involved and there was lots to it so ya have to be careful and not get in over your head There is a collage nearby that sponcers bike specific cources, so I'll do a sport bike corse this summer I hope.

for a start, why would you bother puttin your knee down, you should concentrate on learning to ride, not what you look like, and for all kinds of reasons, this is the dumbest thread ive seen in a long while, sorry to offend any people but Jeesh!!
