Well to be fair in my first post I said I would be twenty four in a week, now I am actually 24. But now, I am no longer unemployed... I am a Customer Solutions Specialist for a chemical distribution company. Which is fancy language for I work in a call center* (albeit a highly sophisticated, ultra-modern, and development focused one). The pay is good, the perks are awesome, and the long-term career potential/opportunity is huge. It's only day two, but I am definitely looking forward to it!

*Okay technically it is an "Interaction Center" since about 50% of the orders are placed electronically via fax email/website.

I'm 64, riding for 7/8 years (presently a HD Dyna), former civil servant for a French government agency. One wheelie with the 750 GSX-R Suzuki  of a buddy. Enough to be sure It was not the good way for me to become an old rider. :whatdidimiss:

How the time flies. Now I'm 31 (almost 32!) and I work for a big internet search company that likes primary colors a lot. ;)

I know how to wheelie now and have done it accidentally twice. The desire to wheelie is there on and off these days but I still quell it.

I just turned 50

"procreating" 50, I feel 30

Still doing the same "poo poo" as the last time I posted on the thread.

"procreating" 50. I hate time

Greetings from the Pacific coast.

47 years since I left the warm, soft place. Been riding for over 40 years (started when I was 4 or 5). I did time for the US Navy (80-85) and then moved into heavy construction equipment repair. Now I am a foreman for a local construction company--mostly involved in remodels. Love working on the 100+ year old homes with redwood that can no longer be bought . . . :)

Interesting thread. Glad to see such a large age spectrum represented.

regards,

I am 43, only riding less than a year and I am an ordained minister in the United Church of Canada (a very liberal Christian church).

I don't want to learn how to do wheelies!

LOL!

It's definitely fascinating to read up on what people's real lives are all about, I agree!

The nice thing about TMW is that we happily accept all riders, regardless of age, gender etc. We're just one big happy family.

In the meantime i was just curious to know how old the riders on these forums are, because i may have to wait many years before getting a bike. Also, wat occupations do you guys have so i can see if theres any trends to bikers. Are there any doctors out there who ride..cuz thats my career goal. Thanks in advance.

Im only 16 with no job lol. wat about u guys? plus...can any of you do weelies?

I'm 65 years old and have been riding since I was about 18 0r 19......so long ago I forgot
Owned an automotive repair shop and did many years of farming.
I used to ride a lot in the AMA dual sport series and knew men and women of all lines of work from factory to doctors to ministers that rode.

I quit on wheelies long ago and even then it was on dirt bikes.
Mostly I'm just 'sight seeing' these days

I'm 62, and I have the best corner office in the building. I'm there too much of the time, and out riding the rest of the time.

I haven't, however, done a wheelie since I sold my R1150RT. I currently ride a 2010 Kawasaki C14 ABS, 2010 HD Electra Glide Ultra Limited, 2007 Yamaha FZ6 and a 2006 R1200RT. Sometimes I even let my husband ride one of them........

We've both been riding for close to 40 years, accident free, only did a little riding while raising our family, but now have the time and money to travel on the bikes. It's a lifestyle we love and we hope to continue riding for many more years. Don't ever feel you're too old to ride, or you will be. I can still ride close to 900 mile days, but I much prefer 600! With age comes wisdom, right?
