I went out yesterday and bought new raingear, my old stuff just isn't keeping me dry anymore.
Is it just me or is this the worst Spring we've ever had???

Re: New rider saying hi...
One lonely post and then he never came back. I wonder if he's still riding.the.chad wrote:I am new here, hi. I live in vancouver, but sometimes I stay in abbotsford. I am a new rider also...very excited about getting out, perhaps this fall, or definitely in the spring. What do you guys all ride? Why is there not a spot for "ride" in your profile???this should be added.

Galeano is the first stop on the Gulf Island ferry, It's about a 50 MINUTE RIDE. If you like to add a bit of easy hiking, you could walk up to the Bluffs Park for a nice view over the ocean and island.
Check the ferry schedule because they have limited sailings.
There is a few cafes/ice creme shops as well as pub where you can get refreshed and have food.
tHE SeCOND STOP ON THE GULF ISLAND RUN IS Mayne Island. My group and I walked the island. There is a small corner with a grocery and crafts snd it even has a pub. Some beaches are accessible.
Again, you have to check the shcedule for the return ferry.
Bowen Island is a 20 minute ferry ride, Bowen Island offers some winding roadsand a fw scenic beaches, but there is an 8km walk around Killarney Lake snd then when you get back to snug cove, plenty of places to choose for refreshments before heading to the ferry.
Just watch for the unusal ferry parking method.
