I BBQed a big mess of steak-n-taters and had a nap. Then I rode around town looking at women all evening, then watched the fireworks in the Rivervalley.

Sometimes it's hard work to miss the ex-wife........ so I just don't bother trying.

Last night my x-wife, my grandson Nick and I went to a CD release party for No Abandon by Bob Walkenhorst and Jeff Porter. It was held at a little bar called The Record Bar that's on the west edge of Westport. The grandson has been taking some guitar lessons and he wants to move to an electric now. We wanted him to see an acoustic performance and it may have done the trick. Nick seemed quite impressed and Bob was most gracious to take some time to talk to him after the show.

Went to Fair Park with the family for Dallas' 4th of July event. Met my good friend from high school there, and ran into an old flame. -sigh- Overall a good day, though. Good music, funnel cakes, and fireworks. :-)

Got up early and decided to ride the Madura out to my grandma's. It gets about 40 mpg on the highway, so that's not too bad at all. Took a little longer to get out here than it would in the truck, but then again I don't have to stop to drink water in my truck.

I think I'm gonna head back to Tucson after the sun sets tonight. Even leaving early in the morning it was getting pretty hot by the time I got out here. I think moonlight would make the ride much better.

Hey jaskc.. You might want to consider getting a Camelback or some similar product for riding out there in makes-hell-look-cold AZ.
This weekend I went to Breckenridge/Keystone for a family reunion. Only takes me about 3 hours to get there. Meaning I'll definitely be seeing some of you ladies this fall!

Fall? The conference is August 19-23.

I resurrected my youtube video. I hadn't even thought about it for a long time. It's had quite a lot of views. :)

I complained to Joe Rocket Canada about the almost new riding pants I have and have hardly worn. The elastic was giving out and the zipper broke...
They are going to send me new riding pants.
I got mine packaged up and ready to take to the post office tomorrow.

Nice to know they stand behind their product.
