I was wondering if you ever tried a throttle rocker? I'm still thinking that it might help with the throttle control for any actual street or hwy riding...
Not having to wrap your fingers around your grip might leave you a little more prepared for braking and clutch work....

Glad to hear you got out again! You'll get it eventually, it'll just take some time, heck, most of us still adjust something or other every other time we're out!
