I actually like the Canadian accent. Got a kick out of watching the Bachelorette this season because of that.

grrr had to avoid 6 cars that pulled out in front of me (couple turning left but most turning right) in all of a 2 minute ride between plants today. Why are there so many morons out there?

Because they're allowed to breed.

Met a couple of Albertans today.
3 were in a Honda Pilot following the older guy on a 83 Yamaha Venture Royale. They were on a dirt pass. He had a trailer. Trailer swung around and crashed him pretty well. Venture was given to the shop, so it looks like I might have the chance to own it for free! *fingers crossed*
Talked to the guy that was riding it. He's ok except for a very bruised/scraped up leg.
Bike is ridable, fairings smashed and top case crunched, but undamaged to the point that the radio still works. (You know it's old school when it has a tape player, especially one that has AUTOMATIC b-side listening...
Oh, and laughed hysterically because they had the stereotypical "Eh?" after most statements/questions.

I rode my bike to my sister's this morning so that I could leave my bike there while I used their car...it has a car seat and I'll be lookng after their 3 year old...
Speaking of morons....as I was rising up their street, a woman let her yorkie dog run out into the street...

I never knew my tires could screech that loud. She is lucky I saw the dog on time....I did some fishtailing...scared the heck out of myself....I though I was going down....then remembered to ease off the brakes...
So listen up dog owners....if you love your pet, keep it under control. This little one today was almost a dead one.

Did a double-take of a vehicle I saw on Hwy 24 today. Audi R8...

Drove almost 400 miles today to drop a friend off back at home and help another through a breakup.
Saw 2 bull elk in velvet in a meadow...

Just got a glance, but both were at least 5x5s!

why do I get this feeling the R8 was holding up traffic (considering the road and propensity of exotic car owners to not have a clue how to drive those machines).
In most of my CO canyon carving expeditions exotic cars were usually going about as slow as the motorhomes. It was the vettes and bimmers that were usually hauling "O Ring" through the canyons there.
I remember riding out of St. Vrain canyon one day keeping a pretty good pace and a M3 flew past me like I was standing still.

This is very true... Although last weekend went on a cruise with a Ferrari 308 that was making the modded cars we were with look like they were standing still.
And actually the R8 was stuck as last in line behind a motorhome, then a line of 5 cars/trucks behind that. And he was REALLY anxious to get out from behind them. A supercar driver that wants to drive it hard! What a concept!
