I'm guessing that there's no shortage of volunteers for that duty, and that the hubby does it well!

Can I pretend to be your brother and screen all applicants???
I don't really need another brother...I have 3 of them already.

Given my past experiences, I could use a screener though.

i just re-checked my messages and didn't see anything from you, and where is this supposed pic? do you mean the one of your bike with a milk crate on it or the one of you laying back on a picnic table? in either case, those were public posts and i felt them not the right place to express my deepest, most personal feelings.

i do have to say, though, that as with most people on this forum i'd love to have the chance to go on a ride with you just because i'm sure i'd learn a lot more in that environment than i do on my normal everyday commuting or bummin around town rides, but you'd intimidate me quite a bit being not only a vastly more experienced rider than myself but also an instructor taught to pick up on the smallest of errors--of which i'm sure i make more than my fair share.

and just to keep it on topic, i went to bike night tonight. it's put on by a sport bike club, but i always go on the road glide and nobody ever minds. they're a really cool crowd and a lot of people i know from work go there. from what i can gather, most of the people at that bike night own a couple bikes--a cruiser and a sport bike--so they don't mind having a harley in a line of GSXRs, Ninjas, CBRs, and YZFs.

there was even a couple other harleys that showed up just to get something to eat, they didn't even know it was bike night until they showed up and saw all the motorcycles. had prolly 40 bikes tonight, so pretty good showing, got to look at lots of bikes that i'm sure i'd kill myself on.

40 bikes? Wow. Good turnout.

Shortly after I got licensed I joined in on a club ride. They knew that I was a new rider and said it was ok for me to go with them. They made it sound like they would take it easy...
I don't think I've ridden that fast since. I was stupid to continue riding with them that day...so I know what it feels like from a newb's perspective.
I'll go easy on you.

Took just about every back road in Texas to make it to San Antonio.
Had fun getting slow cooked in the sun, wow was it hot!! I added an extra 100+ miles to the trip,

So, anybody know of an inexpensive, clean motel in the area???

looks like that thread headed in a completely different direction anyway.

After work I went to a Princess House party....I went to keep someone company. It's a home party for dishes, cookware., etc....I did not buy anything. It's not really my style, too expensive, and I need my money for Colorado next week.

On the way home a transit bus almost sideswiped me....He will get reported....he knew I was there, did an illegal maneuver and a dangerous action. I expect professional drivers to have a higher standard..
