Thanks for the reply, and yes my bike's tank is very tiny. Hopefully by spring I'll get myself a more practical bike for the trip.

How large is your bike's tank?

My bike has a 16L tank. My style of riding helps sometimes to squeeze better mileage from a tank of gas. I don't ride as aggressively as some folks.
My friend dr_bar gets better gas mileage when he rides with me.

I can get between 225 to 301 km on a tank of gas before reserve depending on the the riding...in town or in the mountains....whether it's really cold out or not...and of course speed.

If it were me I'd go one way and return the other, I'm refering to the Hope-Princeton and the Canyon, and stay off the Coq. One of my favorite roads in the Okanagan is Westside Road between Kelowna and Vernon.

Ahh, I see. Mine only has a 10L tank. definitely looking for something bigger for my next bike. Looks like the trip might be tricky with my current bike after all. Well that settles it, I need to do some shopping.

You can always carry a little gerry can of gas with you.
