let's say someone wrote a program to max out the processor of either single, dual, or quad core processors, and then he put it in the start up folder of every computer at a school network. this would freeze a computer before it could boot then restart.

Ummm, first of all, school property = state property...
Second of all, you probably signed some sort of paper saying you wouldn't do anything like that.
Thirdly, they probably have some sort of software or Windows setting blocking you from installing anything onto the machine itself.
And fourth, I now know where you live, type like that again, and the FZ is mine! lol

If caught, you would almost certainly get kicked out and possibly arrested for vandalism and other associated computer crimes.
Writing said program is not too trivial, and getting around and disabling that program would take all of 5 minutes per computer.
This is roughly the equivalent of changing the times on all the school clocks: takes about as long to undo as it took to do. Hardly worth it, huh?

I used Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and clicked on the printer. That opens a WP&FV dialog box that has a Printing Preference button (might be on the second page). That button opens a Lexmark (the printer on the computer) program that has the borderless option on it.
Hmmmm....thank you. It must be the difference in the printer. I use the same WP&FV. I end up with uneven borders. It makes it hard to mat a picture when the borders are wonky.
This printer makes good prints, but....it is lacking for flexibility. Perhaps it is time to change it.

An 8x10 picture will print (in proper aspect ratio) on a piece of 8.5 x 11 paper with a .25" border on two sides and a .5" border on the other two sides.
No getting around that unless you crop the image.

I don't mind a border...It's just that I end up with a large border on one edge and a small border on the other edge.

no installation needed-
simply drag the .exe into the start folder and you're golden!
anyways, i'm currently writing a virus to install the dll across the network automatically.
it's hard as hell to take out... trust me.

No, it's not.
If you do this, I hope you get caught.

I hope you are kidding. Why would you want to do something destructive?
