Finished my normal shift on base, then went to my friend's bike shop and ended up getting sucked into one thing after another. Dropped off a 883 100th Anniversary Edition that is someone's 60th birthday present, picked up a Honda Accord that had some work done, moved around some cars and bikes in the garage, installed some mirrors, moved the motorcycle lift to make room for more bikes, moved more bikes, then finished the coffee i'd stopped to buy on the way back from picking up the Accord...then rode my ninja around for an hour or so in the light drizzle that had started.
supposed to be nice and clear tomorrow, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed, it's been far too long since i've ridden more than 100 miles in a single day. at least a week, i'm guessing.

I wish...-18 degrees C today, lots of snow....no ride in near future. Not until end of April or May. Even when it warms up for spring you cant get on the roads, to much sand on roads from winter, makes it dangerous.

That's what you get for living in Canuckistan! haha (Don't worry we have snow on the roads right now too.)

After work I had dinner at my sister's and played with my 4 year old nephew. Kids are so much fun at that age.

Yes and probably.
Went and covered the shop for a few hours so that the owners could go to a birthday party, then joined them for Carrie's father's 60th birthday party--they got him a 100th Anniversary 883 Sportster. His wife dug out some pictures of them before the kids (on the last bike he owned), I woulda never guessed. Needless to say, he didn't stop smiling the entire night. I was actually very surprised he even came back for the party after we wheeled the bike out of the living room and he took it around the block.

I watched the Olympic Torch parade come through my Mom's small town, went for the free community pancake breakfast, rode my motorcycle home, took ferry, renewed the insurance, took a friend for a birthday supper.
It was almost like a spring day today.

Today I get the second opinion on my hip and will have to decide if I want to keep pressing for a full replacement or possibly opt for a procedure called a core decompression where they'll drill out the middle of the bone to stimulate healing.
Either way it goes, I think I'd be taking a non-voluntary break from riding and at this point I'm actually leaning toward full hip replacement just because I'm sick of dealing with pain every day for the last 18 months. I just want the pain to be gone and not have to limp worse and worse as the day progresses.
