yeah, it really hasn't been that long but i've been out riding almost every day and still find myself doing u-turns and figure 8's in the parking lot whenever i'm waiting for someone. overall i've logged quite a few miles, tho, and it's still as exhilirating as it was the first day after the BRC.
2,500 Ninja 250
1,000 Madura
3,000 Road Glide
8,000 Ninja 636 (and counting)
14,000 miles since June 1st...can't wait til i have the time to take some longer rides, though, most of those are just commuter/in-town miles. i'm really looking forward to breaking my personal best of 400 miles in a single day (the madura seat hurts after that long).

Re: What did you do today...
Yesterday got my federal tax return money, went out with my wife for my birthday (yes I turned 31 yesterday). Then today I get on here and realize the forum changed and well first impressions are the changes are horrible. I even talked to my wife thinking about buying the new Ducati I want (ok its a 2009 1100 Multistrada that is white in color). But being as I dont want to go into debt to buy one Im gonna keep messing with the one i own hoping I dont have to put to much more work into it to keep it running. Nothing wrong with it right now other than it needs a new battery (hey its 15F outside it prob wouldnt even start if I had a brand new battery in it lol). I guess the fact that I am now credit card debt free I just dont like the idea of payments for anything.

Yeah not sure I like the new forum layout either, it's a bit hard to differentiate between posts and sigs.
Anyway went ot the hot rods and cool bikes show here in the Springs. Had some fun, saw some cool bikes and cars. The SOS and Bandidos were both out in force, and actually the Bandidos had a booth set up. But they were all talking amongst themselves, really not a big deal, some nice guys too.

Re: What did you do today...
picked up my new bike today in Mesa, and had a very enjoyable ride along some of the backroads to Tucson. stayed off the interstate and remembered to keep varying the engine speed. already up to 230 miles on it, so i'll be good and ready for the 500 mile service come monday morning.
and yes, i like it lots. can't wait for the saddlebags, though, cuz i run out of pocket space fairly quick.

Agreed. Needs some CSS to control the width to match the top of the page. Or maybe a different theme. Though I DO like the new thread icons. Makes it easier to spot the threads you posted in with the *.Wrider wrote:Yeah not sure I like the new forum layout either, it's a bit hard to differentiate between posts and sigs.

Re: What did you do today...
i broke 1300 miles on the Hammer today. i think a new seat is in my very near future. the stock saddle starts getting uncomfortable around 50 miles, i start getting a little fidgety around 70 miles, and by 85 miles i start standing up at red lights. that just won't do if i'm gonna be taking some serious rides on this beast.
unfortunately it's either go with the Victory aftermarket seats or shell out the scratch for a Corbin. either way, it's a little bit ouchie.

Re: What did you do today...
I walked into a door. Nose first. At the realtor's office......
I'm not kidding. Their office has an inner and outer door separated by a vestibule. The outer door is pure, clear glass, without a mark on it. The inner door is wood with windowpanes. Somehow my eye fixated on the inner door and I walked smack into the outer one. Fast. Got a fat lip, a cut on my nose, and the bridge of my nose is swollen. Took a bunch of aspirin and been holding an ice pack on it. Sheesh!! If it's not one darned thing, it's another.....
The realtor has been handling the sale of my father's house, and she and my wife have become good friends. I went home and told Mrs. Stark the realtor lady smacked me 'cause I came in a day late to sign some papers!!!

there are a lot worse ways to make yourself memorable, as i'm sure many of us can attest to.

I think I am having techno breakdown. Phones, cells, tv's, satellites, ipods, iphones, blackberries and bluerays. computers, cars, trucks, planes and trains...
System overload. Please let me find a corner somewhere,
it doesnt have to be big. Somewhere there is no noise, just for 5 minutes.

I keep trying to Think...but nothing hAppens
