It's my aunt's. I take care of her when my aunt goes away on trips which is like 4 mo. out of the year.

Good question, one day it worked, next it didn't. Tried reinstalling, updating software etc... all to no avail. Sent it back to HP and they sent a refurbished one, same thing happened with it. It now just decorates my shelf...

There's too many junctions when hooking up the scanner. They all tend to come loose pretty easily so just a suggestion. I've had mine since 2004 so maybe the scanner's ok but not the power box or USB.
