Dislike! Why are you selling?

The main reason for buying it in the first place was so Hector could ride with us. But now that he is gone and also because my riding time has been severely curtailed due to my trucking job, it just doesn't make sense to keep two bikes anymore. Plus, I was told by my insurance broker yesterday that premiums on both bikes will rise by $300-$500 in September when they come up for renewal (some bullshit about the company having to make too many claims payouts last year), so when you factor that in with the rise in gas prices and the normal maintenance and upkeep... well, that's why it's a reluctant sale and not a desperate one.

I'm sorry to hear that buddy. Let's hope you can't find anyone willing to give you your price and are "forced" to keep it right?

That price is sorely tempting... I wish I had the cash and a place to put it, it'd be gone in a heart beat...
And a big NO, to those thinking that they have the perfect place to store it...

And on a much needed happier note, I got back home from Norfolk VA a little while ago and just finished charging up and installing the batteries for the Harleys, then I fired them both up and let them idle for awhile. Man, did it ever sound good!

Oh noooo!!! Sorry I didn't get to your blog sooner.
Sorry to hear about Hector passing away, that's aweful. I always loved seeing you post photos of him in the URAL. Well, I couldn't imagine a happier dog than Hector in your URAL going down the road, must have been the envy of dogs everywhere!!
Also sorry to hear you sold your URAL... Atleast you got to ride it this winter in the snow (crazy guy!!), I'm sure you will miss it too.

Took advantage of my day off yesterday to visit the local Harley dealer, as Angie needed to book a full service and tire change for her bike and I needed to book a front tire change for mine. I usually do my own maintenance, especially when it comes to oil changes and such, but I don't have the tools for a tire change. And, after talking with the service manager about our upcoming trip out west this summer, I decided to book a full service with them just for peace of mind. I was surprised and pleased when they offered to come pick up both our bikes in their enclosed trailer and take them to the shop - at no charge! We live 40min south of the dealership, so it's not like it's just around the block for them. So, the bikes will be ready next Monday... hopefully in time for good riding weather.
