Congrats on your first street ride!

DH almost lost me a time or two when he cranked it up to pass slower cars. He too forgot that he can't turn the throttle on this ST2 like he can on the Vulcan. Gentle!

If the Duc is anything like my V-strom, you don't need to really turn the throttle, just a slight positive or negative pressure is enough for + or - 15mph adjustments.

My fear is I always end up dropping the bike from something dumb within the first 10 minutes of parking lot riding (my street rides have been great though).

Around here, dropping the bike during the course is not an automatic expulsion - noobs drop bikes a lot. However, dropping the bike during the riding test at the end of the course is an automatic fail.

Earlier this week one evening I made a hook for my hand. It keeps falling off the bar.

Hopefully this hook lets you pull your hand away when you need to. E.g. if the bike goes down, no need for you to go with it..

Ohh I forgot to mention, I also got a new job, be starting on the 15th. I'll be working front desk at the fitness centers here on base. Nothing spectacular, I've done it before at my gym back in TX, but not a bad way to get a little exta cash in the pocket.

Cash is good. We like cash. More cash = more stuff for the motorcycle

My question is... how in the heck did you take that paerfectly centered last shot of your hand?

I can't manage to take pics of something in Front of me without twitching and shaking like i've been drinking for 5 days. Much less the human pretzel config you must have been in for that one.
