well it doesnt help that a lower case l and a lower case i dont look the same so when I see El next to each other I assume el as in mexican not ei as in an acronym for something

How about we just let you have Manhattan. Just as a good-will gesture! Umm yeah, that's it!

Thanks wrider, but, frankly, we've nowhere to put it.

The great British public are famous for getting very stroppy about things like this ("Not in my back yard", you don't!)

Maybe you could palm it off on the Irish. They like American souvenirs.

Cheers

Weather looked like rain all day. So I decided to play taxi today. Took wife and son out for lunch then ended up at the grocery store. After a while back home get a call from my Mom she needs a ride from bingo which then turned into my second grocery store run of the day. Got home had dinner. Watched a cheezy sci fi movie then it lost the urge to taking a run. Hopefully nice weather tomorrow which may very well turn into an all day run.

Had a beautiful morning today, 77 and sunny. I've been stuck in for the last couple of weeks with allergies and a slight cold. I had to go out for a short ride. Bad Idea.

Embarrassed myself again. After about 25 miles I was wiped out and the driveway was too much.(dead slow, acute turn onto stone drive, 30 deg grade) Lay the bike down on the hill about 20 ft up the drive. Of course I ended on the down hill side and it was a struggle to pick up. No bike dammage, just my ego. I was really surprised to be so wiped out by a short ride.

Sorry to hear that, Pete. Not a nice way to end a beautiful day.

And yes there is someting particularly embarrassing about dropping your bike. As I get older, I give less and less of a f*ck about many things. Dropping my bike is not one of them.
