No, thats not what I meant. I just meant that if he's looking for a certain style, he shouldnt worry about small things like whether he might scuff the farings (thus leading him to not get a sportbike like he wants). You can get a good starting bike and still have lots of choice in style, leaving the ultimate decision up to what style of bike you want (unless you're on a tight budget and can only afford an older used bike, which puts you at the mercy of patience or whats on the market).
