sapaul, you forgot to mention that you look goooood in a full face!
Sorry but I'm one of those old farts on an old Harley.
But then again I also own an old Honda and a Yamaha and maybe in a few weeks a new Kawasaki!
As far as I'm concerned there are no bad bikes, just bad owners!

Fullface looks better than those dopey open-face ones that the cops wear.
Anyway being from Seattle also, I know that there aren't many days I'd want anything other than a full-face.

Im rather attached to my face so its a full face for me.
A close friend of mine went sliding on his face for 50 feet after an SUV turned left in front of him last year, his full face saved his life.
I have never had any visibility problems with my helmet, and heat is not an issue as long as your moving

you appaerently know nothing about seattle, last year we had the nicest wheather over all in the country, all this week ive been wearing my half helmet, should last till late october.
full face doesnt look right on a cruiuser, period!

Road rash on the face...not good.
I have no problem with people expressing their freedom of choice by not wearing proper gear. But dont complain when your face is deformed and half your body is one giant purple scar.
Skid lids are okay...they might prevent your skull from cracking on the road if you impact a certain way, but thats about it.
It really wouldnt bother me if it wasnt that the EMS personnel are paid by taxpayers to scrape you off the road. Does insurance cover the costs to the city to clean up the dead? I doubt it. Maybe I'm wrong. But if you ride a bike without gear, you shouldn't expect to survive an accident at any great deal of speed, and its selfish to expect society to pay for your choices. Hey, thats what welfare is for right?

Well -- it's okay for the illegal immigrants to go to school, go to hospitals, get medicaid, get welfare, ride in those same ambulances, get jobs and not pay taxes at all... Why have a problem with an American that does pay taxes? He's earned the right to it...
