I've felt the wind hit me at 186 and just can't see how a man can stay attached to the bike at 300 mph, It has to be next to impossible. Even at under 200, tucked behind the windscreen, with the wind resistance on your helmet it's about all you can do to keep your chin pressed to the tank.
Go find a strait road somewhere (once you have a little more time riding) and see what I'm talking about. You'll have doubts too.
