Well, the tire wasn't new, but it still had plenty of life in it. I was supposed to go in yesterday to get a new rear tire, but obviously that didn't happen, lol. But yeah, most of it is cosmetic, so I should be able to get the mechanical stuff fixed soon, and leave it there on the weekends to get the cosmetic stuff fixed.

Got my bike back today, and everything is running, and working fine.
But, I was scared as hell riding it home, nervous that every car was going to pull out in front of me. And what "procreating" idiot cager woman did. I was riding (again nervous as hell) home from the shop, and this lady was waiting to turn right onto the road I was on. I was watching her closely, and noticed took half a glance to her left (at me) and started pulling out, I was anticipating this, and had my hand on the brake, so I slammed on the brakes, tires squelling, and I guess she heard this, so she slammed on her brakes before she went out in the road, and gave me the whole "why do you look so mad?" look. I was pissed, flipped her off (which in retrospect wasn't such a good idea), and kept going. I think she was on her cell phone.
Honestly it makes me mad, but I hope she learned from it and will look a little better before she pulls out next time.
Anyone, so that didn't help in making me less nervous. Stupid cagers.

I hope you learned something, too. Never trust anyone. Even if you have the right of way, always be prepared to yield. It will keep you alive and well.
Yeah, that's what I was doing to the whole time, I was probably too cautious, I think I was slowing traffic down becuase I was going below the speed limit. But I was nervous, and was ready to be going fast again yet, so I didn't really care. I think I could have slowed down enough without having to slam on the brakes, but I think I paniced a little, and braked more than I need to. It's a good thing I wasn't going around a turn.
I forgot to mention my I'm doing my MSF class this weekend.
It's been going pretty well so far, although my "O Ring" is killing me (four hours on those uncomfortable bikes kills). I have been riding a tiny little Suzuki 125, that's probably half the size and weight of my bike (although nighthawk 250s got taken). I haven't really learned much new yet, but it's helping me reinforce what I already know. I did learn some weaving techniques, which was fun, although it was very fast, because through the whole class I have been stuck behind a slow "O Ring" woman.
Most of the people already have there own bikes. There are people who are learning on: an R6, a 636, a Vulcan 900, a Sportster 1200, and besides the girl with the R6, they all SUCKED at riding, and all said they had been riding between 1-2 months. They kept stalling, couldn't shift, couldn't use the brakes properly (especially going into a turn), couldn't comfortably ride over 10 mph (no joke), and one lady (the one with the Vulcan 900) refused to lean in her turns, so she would slow to like 5mph around the turns.
The kid with the 636 was taking the class because of a court oder, after he got pulled over going 120mph on the highway, squid.
Oh, and no accidents or close calls today or yesterday! Sweet. I'm starting to get a little confidence back, but I'm still pretty nervous (I was having a little bit of a hard time going the speed limit, which was 45mph on a pretty curvery road). But, I'm starting to get comfortable again, but still be very alert and always thinking about what I can do if someone pulls out in front of me or something.
I realized I've never posted a picture of my girlfriend Sarah, and I. So here's one from homecoming, that was last year after we had been going out for like 2 weeks, now we've been together for 8 1/2 months.

Ok, so I decided to paint my front fender, because the used fender the mechanic used to replace the old one after the accident was an ugly maroon color, and didn't match the rest of the bike at all.
So here's a couple before pics:
Here's after all the old paint was removed, which took the longest amount of time, big pain in the "O Ring":
Here's after 4 coats of matte black paint:
Here's back on the bike after two coats of clear acryllic paint:
