Hmm only $212 a year? Thats pretty cheap. How often do you have it insured? Is that why its cheap because its only insured for a few months out of the year?
Nope, that's for a full 12 months (but it's only liability, not full coverage, with $250 deductible, and the minimum for everything else).

And I always considered the EX500 and GS500 to be standards, because the seating position is so upright.
ha i pay 216 a yr for liability.

as for buying a bike new dont do that, who cars if it comes with a warranty. take your time pick out a bike that you think was taken care of, get a feel for the previous owner etc. then when it times come for you to fix somthing you can look at it 2 ways. 1. do it yourself. 2. lets say u spend 2 grand less on the bike, but now you have to spend 400 your still saving 1600 and getting the experience that you need, after that get a new bike

man just checked on my MSF for my state/county and all the basic classes are FULL. Only cost $25 to take the class but that sucks I was hoping to buy a bike after taking a class. looks like I will have to wait till next year. I, myself, would feel more comfortable taking a course before even going out and test driving ones I am interested in.

Rehab Ralphy wrote:Sweet, thanks for the link. Apparently the place near me that I was talking about DOES provide the bikes. I went to the site and read up on it. The class is $210. If I dont pass the first time, does that mean I have to go back and pay another $210 to try again?

Nevermind. I read the site. They said if I dont pass the skills test (or if i do), i can take the additional riding BRC in order to get the certificate ($125). BUT, it doesnt say what the additional BRC is. Is it more of the skills testing? DO you have to pass it to get the certificate?

Sorry for all the questions guys. I'm just excited
Walk AWAY from this outfit... if they charge you to take a second class "if you don't pass" what incentive do THEY have to pass you the first time????

More money in their pocket, if by some odd chance you do not pass.

A "REAL" MSF certified training center will let you re-take the skills test within a period of time FOR FREE. If you fail a second time, THEN its up to you to either go home and buy a bike and practice on your own, taking your state's skills test at some later date, OR take another MSF class.

yes I pay $75/month for my 2002 oldsmobille silhouette. thats with state farm. I havent checked with state farm yet how much they would charge (probably be tons cheaper) but with progressive its $85/month for the ducati. Would probably also be cheaper as progressive would think of it as the main source of transportation.
