40 years ahead of its time. Gets 175mpg and its still working like a charm.
1965 Honda C200 Tourer.

I want one of those, more as a novelty then anything else. Maybe just to run up to grab a bite to eat and watch everone stare.

if they can keep that price point and improve the styling a bit I would be game for one of those hybrid bikes. Performance is on a par with a 400cc machine and better than most 250s (aside from the limited top speed).

For the same reason Ben and Jerry's charges so much for their ice cream. They are both a couple of the best companies at which to work in the US. They take care of their employees with good benefits and all that rigamarole. As soon as my local Vons is remodeled (in a month), I'm going to be the manager at the new Starbucks...which will be 100000x better than working for Vons...I hate that poo-hole....

Vons is a division of Safeway Inc. It is only (I think) in Southern California. Safeway, Genuardis, Tom Thumb, Pavillions, Vons; they are all the same lame "O Ring" company

I haven't owned a vehicle that has gotten less then 40mpg since 1995 (93 toyota tercel) And I won't buy any thing that gets less then that. My 48cc spitfire gets an average 169mpg and will do 35mph and is great for just buzzing around town. I use my Rebel (80mpg) back and forth to work and traveling solo. My S50 (50 to 55mpg) for mostly 2-up riding (some solo joy rides). I just ordered an electric hub motor for a bicycle thats suppose to do 30mph with a 20 mile range. I'd certainly get a hybrid bike if the price was right, but i agree with what has already been pointed out, cost for cost a normally aspirated vehicle is more cost effective.
