Like I said, you do it at the next stoplight. If you're a T-1000.

If you continue to take what I said seriously, I will fart in your general direction.

I totally understand what you mean about not escalating the situation. i actually drive a large delivery truck for a living so im used to road rage and i typically dont let myself get bothered. Myabe i didnt really state it well, but we werent trying to do anything to the guy, we just wanted to let him know we werent happy. and we werent really being crazy, we just thought it was funny that he was trying to run, it was a bit of a challenge, like hunting, just no kill at the end.

So would you consider chasing after someone who is trying to get away escalating the situation? Are you not the aggressor at this point? Who knows what kind of criminal you may be chasing, he may think you are undercover and open fire. I know its far fetched, but chasing after other motorists can be considered racing or worse. I didnt say you are a bad person, I just wanted you to think of the consequences of a bad choice. You dont know if this clown just robbed and bank or what. He may be armed and unstable, he certainly is armed with a car that is much larger than you. His wife may be running around on him, there is no reason to push him even further. Disengage and call it in, thats my best advice.

Dont take it personal, we all need to remind ourselves of this from time to time. I still get mad, just dont let it show. You didnt let the fear freeze you up, you didnt give up and got out of the way. Your friend did the same, great job to both of you on being aware.

Here's one of my scariest experiences. I had been working all day moving out of a temporary condo into our house that was about 40 miles away. My wife tried to convince me to ride with her in the car and leave the bike until the morning. I was pretty tired but thought that once I got on the road I'd be OK. Got about 30 miles down the road at about 11 PM at night and actually fell asleep while riding. I suspect that I only nodded off for a split second, but waking up on the bike doing 60 mph at night scared the stuffing out of me. I had no more trouble staying awake after that. I pulled over in a gas station and told my wife that I wanted to rest for a moment. She didn't know that I fell asleep, and I wasn't about to tell her but I needed to collect myself before continuing. Since we were within a few miles of the house she decided to go on without me. After a few minutes I started out again. Got about 3 miles down the road and ran out of gas; I forgot that I had switched to the reserve tank on my last ride. Now I'm in the middle of nowhere at night and out of gas. I started walking and finally got to a Highway Patrol station a mile or two down the road. They gave me a gallon of gas, took me back to the bike, and followed me to the nearest gas station. Of course, when I got home the wife wanted to know where the hell I had been. I learned my lesson; don't ride when you're overtired and remember to buy gas.

Scariest moment just happened......July 4th, police car runs a red light (no lights or siren) clips my front wheel, knocks the bike sideways and sends me flying over the handle bars......

The HD shop picked up the bike yesterday, said the damage could be as high as $10,000 and take 10 weeks to fix:( I guess there goes the summer.

I was very lucky though, small road rash, lots of bruises and just a few aches...thanks to a helmet, gloves, jeans and boots

Heres the full story

Oddly enough, on the same day I nearly had a guy run me over on I-95 that morning...I guess it wasn't my day...

Not sure yet...that price inlcudes if the frame was bent...

HD dealership just picked up bike yesterday, City of Fort Lauderdale (Police car who hit me) will get the police report either Friday or Monday. Then I have to wait for the estimate to get faxed and approved....

Its at that point the 10 weeks starts ticking for repairs....

Also, its a 2005 Deuce so even at $10k might be cheaper to repair than replace....
