The bumpersticker on the back of my truck (well, actually the back window of my bedcap):

Oh yeah, a heatgun would definately be better in the removal of old decals (a heatgun is different from a hairdryer, much much hotter). Just be careful not to melt anything important that might not stand up to the heat.

When I peeled the stickers off my bike, I found the heat gun (not a hair drier... heat gun blows hotter) actually made peeling them more difficult. Sure, it softened the glue, but it also softened the plastic so the stickers stretched and broke more.

When stickers are new you can usually just peel them if you are careful.

My brother used a heatgun and got the old stickers off his used Blazer's tailgate with no issues, I wasn't there so I don't know the exacticalities of what happened.

Yeah, the stickers on my bike were extremely thin... the biggest challenge in peeling them was not breaking them. I've always used a heat gun in the past (which is why I started with a heat gun on the bike) but those stickers were thicker.

My brother's only problem is that the stickers that were on the read windshield left behind residue that won't come off, you can't tell it's there unless the glass is frosted over, but then you can actually see what the stickers said in the frost. Once it warms up they disappear. Weird, maybe it's some kind of UV something or other.

gixxers are very recognizable even w/o any decals, especially the K6 600 and 750 models since it's been redesigned.

anyway... i love gixxers but i don't want mine to look the same as everybody else's.

They all look like generic "new sportsbikes" to me. And guess what, yours looks like everyone else's, even with those extra decals you put on there. I guess you need to install the TRE to make up for the added weight.

nah, the nose of the gixxers is very distinct.

other than ducati... they're the only ones that makes the top and bottom headlight setup unlike the generic left and right setup.

hyosung also makes them but it's obvious they got it from suzuki.

My roommate thinks all sportbikes "look like the interceptor!!". I asked him "You mean they have a fairing, 2 wheels, and a seat?"

him: "Well... yeah."
me: "idiot."

Personally, I don't like the style where only the one headlight is on for low, and the other for brights. I love my interceptor's lights, they are both on.
