Yep... people wipe then look for an excuse... the tires weren't racing tires... there was gravel on the road... whatever... but the wipe was caused by lack of skill not inferior equipment or bad conditions.

Nothing of consequence to add, but I wanted to say what a breath of fresh air it is to see so many people making rational comments regarding what's truly important in regards to "performance upgrades", on a sportbike message board. This place is Heaven! :D

I figured it was a coin flip as to whether or not you were being sarcastic regarding the exhaust (I'll give ya the benefit of the doubt, though ;-) ), but regardless...one of my pet peeves is the worship of "performance upgrades" that are nothing more than "Look at me!!!!" bumper stickers. Sounds like most everyone here is on the same page.

Anyhow, it was nothing directed at you; please take no offense.

nah, even if you were trying to bash me, i don't care... i just wanna make sure i didn't get misunderstood.

i do want the exhaust upgrade and i'd get it right now if could afford it.

but since i can't... i have to prioritize.

attending a track school is higher on my priority list since it will be more beneficial.

I'm nitpicking, but this isn't a sportbike forum.

so far, here's my choices...

1. pirelli diablo corsa - front ($142), rear ($169)
2. metzeler race tech - front ($142), rear ($173)
3. michelin power race - front ($186), rear ($202)

basically around $400 for a set. if i could get 4 trackdays out of it... it'll be worth it to me.

escape?
