Well, prices in the UK have always been higher for petrol than they are in the US. That's why motorcycles and mopeds/scooters are a bigger thing there, they get better gas mileage.

not to mention scooter/moped licensing and cost are much lower as well, when I had my blast it did 65-70MPG, insurance only costed my 300/year and the cost of the bike was 2700$, in comparison I bought my lightning for 8500$, it cost about 1000$/year for insurance and it only gets 38-62MPG depending if you drive like a maniac or granny (coasted alot to get the 62MPG mark).

As to what gas I use a month, I only put about 100miles/month on my car and about 650miles a month on my motorcycle, my car typically gets about 24MPG in my fillups and my motorcycle about 45mpg adverage, so about 18 gallons a month, assuming gas is 3$ a gallon thats about 56$/month.

At the Esso station it was 1.45 Euro a liter coming to work this morning. That makes gas $7.639 per gallon at todays exchange rate. Assuming my GW was here in Germany with me, it would take 7 gallons per week for a grand total of $213 per month just to drive the Wing.

Gas here is €1.30 per liter. My bike has a 24 liter tank. that's €31.20 or $40.00 at current rates to fill my bike. :frusty:

Ouch, thats actually beaten the usual prices round here in the UK

typically £0.95 per litre ($6.62 U.S. per U.S. gallon) - damned 'mericans can't even copy an imperial metric system correctly, let alone language

(can I have a few secs to put on my asbestos suit before the flames start please?)

Premium unleaded

$5.51 AUD per gallon = $4.15 US.
$1.45 AUD per liter = $1.09 US.

Cost's $20.70 US to fill my bike from empty on premium unleaded.
