Hey Ozzy, I've heard that the roads in the less built up/populated areas of australia are kinda like the autobahns in germany-no speed limits. Is this true?

That name....'sportsterideragogo' must must be the record for the longest user name!
Anyway....YES sort of.
In the Northern Territory only, there is NO speed limit outside of Town. However, ride or drive like an idiot & you could still get a fine by the Cops!
Another reson why I do what I do here in Alice Springs!
P.S. I just Sold my 1200 Sporty to another Territorian! (In Darwin) Oh well.
Another step closer to the Street Rod!

I like that color. That is the first time I have seen that color on the rod.
If I were going to get a harley it would either be a street rod, or a sportster 1200R in silver.

Both nice bikes to be sure, I loved my 1200 Sporty, but no comparison really.
The Street-Rod is way more sophisticated & would tear the Sporty a new.....well you know....

Al, have you sat on the new Nite-Rod yet? I found it even more comfortable than the Street-Rod. It is the one bike that would almost take me to the dark side.....

My Boy Racer daze are catching up with me, so I'm after a Harley that's a bit more Sports riding orientated, not cruiser.
The Night-Rod is nice & I Love the seat on that baby but forward foot placement on a bike is not what I'm after.....for a change.
I note that the N-R also offers mid & forward foot placement! Sweet!

My opinion of the night rod is that it is the rod for short legged people.
I sat on one and the mid-mount controls were just completely in the wrong place, my knees were almost above the tank and im not excactly long legged, my inseam is only 32". I have the same problem with the sportster standard, at least the sporty R has the higher seat to make the mid-mounts work.

OK so....I bought one, Black to be exact!
Not the best Pic to be sure, but this is the actual bike I bought. I also saved AU$4000 & instead of buying the Demo model, I bought a Brand New one for the same price!!
I love that sort of deal!
