Lol, Tech,

Elmendorf is currently at 35% manning because everyone else is in the Gulf.
I have been deployed to The Sandbox twice in the last 3 years. Everybody kinda knows everybody there, you know how that works. We fight like siblings here, but then all get along when we have to.

I have about 4500 miles of exp riding a bike.. I got on an 04 r6 a few weeks ago ..

To me they are damn scary. Its to jumpy for me and to light felling.

If i were you I would at least try one before buyin..

I don't like r6's "."

Thanks for being candid, Shawn. I think everyone who's thinking about getting an R6 should read your post, especially beginning riders.

its only true.

I was one of those people .. Ohh i want an r6 they look bad @ss and are fast. Untill you drive one.

I took it up the street and notbut 10 seconds on the bike a returned it and said ill stick to what i have.

They feel like you can def hurt ure self if you don't know what ure doing.

Lets say you freak out and what do most people who freak out DO? Twist the throttle . not on purpose but they do. and when that happens its gonna hurt. I have had a few times where i gave it more throttle on accident and it jumps.. Imaging that on an r6 with all that torque?

I may show off from time to time, but I don't promote doing these things right off the bat...
pretty much sums things up right there i think. one time showing off on the r1 on the street and your dead or mamed for life easy as that. also you dont recomend people ride like you on dirt because you know they arent ready. the same is happening to you, people with extensive street riding exp are saying dont get on the r1 as a first bike. they are also wondering why you seem intent not to listen to such good advice im sure.
